Automated parking
automatic parking solutions
Fully automated car parks powered by SiMonSiMon coordinates vehicle movements in fully automated car parks with several thousand spaces – optimizing routes and time, acting predictively and maintaining availability.
The challenge
Many vehicle movements, short waiting times, high availability
A fully automated car park has to coordinate numerous vehicle movements at the same time. Short routes alone are not enough: vehicles must be stored quickly and made available again at the required time.
Operations must remain stable during peak loads, faults or partial equipment failures. This requires a control system that understands the overall process, evaluates available routes and responds flexibly to the current state of the system.
The automated process
From vehicle handover to timely provision
SiMon connects the individual movements into one continuous process. Decisions are not made in isolation, but consider route, time, parking space and equipment availability together.
The SiMon solution
Optimize, anticipate and replan when faults occur
Route- and time-optimized control
Optimization algorithms integrated into SiMon select suitable movement sequences and routes for parking and retrieval.
Provide vehicles earlier
Learned behavior patterns support predictive retrieval. Vehicles can be prepared early to reduce waiting times.
Use redundant routes
Multiple paths through the system allow SiMon to switch to available alternatives during faults or partial failures.
Prepared for the next expansion stage
Prioritized and predictive charging during the parking period
Prioritize charging processes
The SiMon software already accommodates prioritized and predictive charging processes during the parking period.
Reposition vehicles for charging
SiMon can reposition vehicles within the parking system and route them to suitable charging spaces according to their charging priority.
Inductive charging as a prerequisite
The charging function has not yet been commissioned because it requires inductive charging infrastructure. The technical prerequisites were not available at the time of the project.
The value
High throughput and stable operation
Short waiting times
Time optimization and predictive provision accelerate vehicle return.
High throughput
Coordinated vehicle movements use the available equipment efficiently.
Robust during faults
Redundant routes keep operations functional during faults and partial failures.
